Problem statement: You want warm and radical winter boots, but you don't want to look like you're stepping fresh out of 2002 with some Uhgs [sic].
Solution: I saw a woman at work today wearing these sweet brown leather boots with some intricate beading and flat soles (no heal--I like!). She said they were handmade and she got them from a neighbor in Alaska. So I googled "Alaska Native boots" as fast as I could, and here is what I ice-fished out for you to nibble on:
